Materials used - Saunders Waterford paper and Daniel Smith Watercolour paints
 
The painting started with a very light sketch, to ensure the puffins were roughly the same size. The birds were painted with loose watercolour washes, dropping the colours in and letting them blend on paper. The background was added in the end which involved wetting the paper randomly and adding lots of splatters! In the subsequent stage rock like texture was created by allowing another watercolour wash to dry under a layer of cling film and finished off with some subtle brushwork.

Presented in a white frame and an acid free off-white mount, ready to hang.
